I’m one of those that had to be pushed me into the fray years ago by a coach who refused to work with me if I didn’t follow her directive to go social. Admittedly, I loved it as soon as I waded in. Beyond Followers: How to Achieve True Engagement with Social Media
1. You don’t need a gazillion followers or friends to make social media work for your business. Note that brands that hover in “medium” ranges are said to be able to have deeper conversations with their communities.
2. This is a great time of year to refresh your social media goals. A look back at where you are getting the most traction from social media will help you strategize the best way to invest your time in the new year.
3. Measure your engagement rate by focusing on conversation, amplification and applause.
4. Understand the digital marketing funnel. The sales funnel is timeless. Social media is a powerful way of connecting and moving through the process of developing relationships that culminate in the win/win of doing business together.
